About Parking

The training center’s challenge of scarce parking has been further exasperated by increased industrial activity in the area and the addition of shifts in several of the companies. The good news is that to date, there have been no reported van break-ins or thefts. To better manage the continuing lack of parking and to minimize the risk of break-ins, we urge you to take public transportation to the training center of van/car pool when possible.

Students or visitors to the training center will find that:

1. The #7 train from Manhattan or Flushing stops at 33^rd and Rawson, only three blocks south of the school;
2. There is limited parking available at:Van Dam Parking 47-14 32^nd Place

For those students who must drive vans to the training center, we have been advised by many contractors that the installation of the ‘Donut lock’ (with welded lock guard) has successfully deterred vandalism to their vehicles.
